Teaching has always been one of my passions and an important part of my life. My teachers inspired me to share the joy of music with others.
Although voice is my main instrument, I teach a variety of instruments such as basic piano, basic guitar, and ukulele. In every lesson, I also focus on concepts such as sight-reading and theory. I believe every musician should continue to work on these musicianship skills no matter what instrument they play.
My mission is to help my students develop a healthy singing technique that will work for any genre. I tailor my teaching style to the learning method and goals of each student and encourage a love of singing. I strive to make the lessons fun and informative for any age or ability. I have had experience preparing students for NYSSMA adjudication festivals, recitals, auditions, and other performances.
In my sophomore year of undergrad, I started my small voice studio teaching adult beginners in Pittsburgh. Post undergrad, I now work with many voice and piano students of all ages and levels. I have taught students from ages 3 to adult both in-person and virtually. From my music education experience, I am certified to teach all areas of music to students from grades pre-K-12.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in vocal performance and music education certification at Carnegie Mellon University. I am pursuing my master's degree in vocal performance at New England Conservatory. I am currently accepting private students in the Boston area. I can accept students anywhere via Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime.
